A short-term research technician position is available in our lab at the Department of Immunobiology, University of Lausanne!

We investigate the signaling pathways and metabolic processes that enable immune cells to detect and respond to invading pathogens, as well as their implication in autoimmune diseases and infection.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Master’s graduate to contribute to an ongoing research project investigating the molecular mechanisms and regulatory pathways controlling innate immune responses. The successful candidate will expand their expertise in immunology, gain extensive hands-on experience in molecular biology, cell culture, and immunology techniques, while contributing to an ongoing research project focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms that regulate innate immune responses, that is in its final stages before publication.

In your activities, you will:

  • Perform cell culture and molecular biology experiments
  • Use CRISPR/Cas9 technology, WB, qPCR, ELISA, flow cytometry techniques…
  • Analyze and present data
  • Contribute to collaborative team projects

Your qualifications

We invite applications from candidates with the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Master’s degree in immunology, molecular biology or related fields
  • Prior lab experience in cell culture and molecular biology: WB, qPCR, ELISA…
  • Animal experimentation qualification (Module 1 – Rodents, accredited by FELASA) is a plus
  • Enthusiasm for science, curiosity and a strong interest in immunology
  • Collaborative mindset and motivation to work in a team
  • Strong communication skills in English are essential

Job information
