Excited to share that our work demonstrating the crucial role of TASL in mouse models of SLE has been featured in Nature Reviews Rheumatology!
The Research Highlight covers our recent article (Drobek et al. Nat Comm) alongside the work from the group of Dr Manzanillo (Lau et al. Nat Comm), who reported similar findings—further strengthening and confirming our data. In brief, these two articles, published back-to-back in Nature Communications, demonstrate the clear and crucial role that TASL has to activate IRF5 downstream of TLR7 and TLR9 signalling in vivo. Most importantly, both studies show that Tasl-deficient mice are protected from pristane-induced lupus.
Grateful to the team and collaborators who made this possible!
